Leo Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Acceptance of General Terms and Conditions

By using our software as a service (SaaS), named Leo AI (hereinafter “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these general terms and conditions of sale (T&C). If you do not accept the T&C, you must not use the Service.

2. Essential Service Features

Leo AI is an artificial intelligence tool designed to help students with their academic work. It is in no way a cheating tool, nor a tool that encourages dishonest behavior. It is intended to facilitate learning and study organization.

3. Pricing and Payment Terms

The price of Leo AI subscription is €9.90 including tax per month for the basic plan or €19.90 including tax per month for the Leo AI + plan. Payment is made only by credit card. Credits

Upon registration (subscription to the basic plan), the user gets 100 credits. These credits are recharged monthly on the billing date.

It should be noted that unused credits do not carry over from one month to another.

“Credits” correspond to the context taken into account by Leo to formulate its response as well as the size of the response itself. 100 credits represent approximately 3 million words.

Leo AI + Subscription

The Leo AI + subscription offers unlimited access to our platform’s features, with flexible and optimized usage for €19.90 including tax per month.

The Leo AI + subscription includes a 2-day free trial. To benefit from this trial, the user’s credit card is verified through a €0.50 including tax charge. This €0.50 amount is then credited back as Stripe credit to the user’s account and automatically deducted from the first subscription charge: at the end of the 2-day trial, the user will therefore be charged only €19.40 including tax (instead of €19.90 including tax) on the first payment. Subsequent monthly renewals will be billed at the standard rate of €19.90 including tax per month. The user can cancel at any time from their personal account before the end of the trial period to avoid moving to the paid subscription.

In order to preserve service quality for all users, a technical limit of 15 million words per month is applied by default. This limit is put in place to guarantee an optimal experience and avoid abuse that could disrupt service performance. If a user reaches this limit and wishes to continue using beyond it, it is possible to unlock it by contacting our support.

Termination and Withdrawal

Users can cancel their subscription at any time without any commitment. To unsubscribe, users must access their profile from the application.

Renewal

By subscribing to a subscription on our platform and accepting these General Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&C), the user accepts the principle of automatic subscription renewal. This means that the subscription will be renewed each month on the due date, and the corresponding amount will be automatically debited from the payment method provided during subscription.

This automatic renewal guarantees the user continuous and uninterrupted access to the platform’s features. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the payment information associated with their account remains up to date to avoid any service interruption.

The user can cancel their subscription at any time via their personal space, respecting the terms provided in these T&C. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current period, and no refund of amounts already billed can be made.

4. Delivery and Contract Execution Terms

Access to Leo AI service is granted immediately after payment validation. Users can access the service by logging into their user account.

Subscription Modifications

1.1. We reserve the right to modify the conditions of your subscription at any time, including, but not limited to, rates, benefits, and credit limits.

1.2. Any modification will be communicated to subscribers by notification on our platform.

2.1. Subscribers will be informed of any modification made to subscription conditions via a notification detailing the changes and their implications.

2.2. Continued use of our service after the effective date of the new conditions will be considered as acceptance of the modifications.

2.3. If a subscriber does not accept the new conditions, they have the possibility to cancel their subscription without fees from their Leo account.

5. Complaint Handling

In case of complaint, the user can contact our customer service by email or via the chat available on the customer service page of their Leo account. The average response time is 4 to 6 hours.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Users have the right to withdraw and cancel their subscription without fees within 14 days from subscription (subscription represents the initial payment, future payments are renewals), provided they have not used the service (no text generation performed). The user must notify their desire to withdraw via chat or by email. In accordance with article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the user waives their right of withdrawal upon use of the service (use of the service corresponds to the use of one of the AI tools present on the platform), this being digital content not provided on a material medium.

7. Warranties and After-Sales Service

Leo AI is committed to providing a service in accordance with its description. In case of non-conformity, the user can request service compliance. Updates may be performed and are communicated by email to allow users to organize themselves.

8. Consumer Mediation

In case of dispute, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge. For this, you can contact us by email to obtain the contact details of the competent mediator in Paris, France.

9. Applicable Law and Competent Court

These T&C are subject to French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation and/or execution falls under the jurisdiction of Paris courts, France.

10. Limitation of Liability

Leo AI is designed to help students organize and improve the quality of their academic work through artificial intelligence-based features. The user commits to using Leo AI in accordance with academic integrity principles and rules established by the relevant educational institutions. Under no circumstances can Leo AI be held responsible if the user uses the service as a means of cheating or violates academic conduct rules. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that their use of Leo AI complies with the standards and regulations in force in their institution or academic framework.

Use of the Reformulator

This tool was designed to optimize and make content generated by artificial intelligence more accessible. It does not constitute a means to bypass rules or quality controls and must be used in accordance with this spirit. The responsibility for adequate and ethical use of this tool lies entirely with the user.

The Reformulator results are very effective against plagiarism detectors, transforming content in a way that maintains originality while preserving meaning. However, we cannot guarantee 100% success against AI detectors, as these are themselves quite unpredictable and sometimes capable of detecting human text as being generated by AI. This unpredictability of AI detectors underlines the importance of responsible and ethical use of the Reformulator. We recommend that users always verify and adapt the reformulated content according to the specific requirements of each use context.
